Description: Therapeutic Riding
Founded in 2001, Gaits of Hope provides safe and affordable therapeutic horseback riding instruction to individuals facing physical, mental, and emotional challenges in Fargo and other neighboring cities. Therapeutic riding is available through registration; simply call Gaits of Hope for additional information. All activities will be supervised by certified, trained instructors and volunteers.
Our program includes a one hour riding session which consists of stretching, a warm-up period on the horse for relaxation, and exercises that are designed to help improve coordination and balance. Each class is conducted by a certified riding instructor with up to four side walkers and one horse leader per rider. Helmets are required to be worn by each rider. The safety and well being of all participants is our top priority.
