Matt Sheridan trains horses and presents clinics throughout California. Matt purchased a mustang and entered "Luna" in the Sacramento Mustang Challenge. He also had been using Stabilized Rice Bran but then heard of Ultra.  The impact of Ultra on "Luna" is shown above. The differences are dramatic but not unexpected. Matt takes care of his horses well. He now can see the difference between Ultra and Stabilized Rice Bran. Visit Matt's website to learn more about his natural training methods. The pictures shown above represent a 77 day difference feeding 2lb/day of Ultra 20/20 plus hay.

Another Ultra 20/20
Success Story

I would like to start this letter ,by thanking L. A. Hearne Company & King Brand Feed for all of their generosity. My name is Janel Flook, and I am a Professional Barrel Racer. Rios Winner   (A.K.A. Rio), is a 9 year old barrel horse. Rio was injured on July 23, 2006. She was turned out for the evening in the arena at our house, resting before my first go at Salinas Rodeo.I woke the morning of the 23rd to catch my mare and head to slack.

When I got out to Rio I noticed she was favoring
her hind leg. I looked down and my mares leg looked as though it had been threw a meat grinder. I loaded her in the trailer and hauled her to a vet clinic, where she went straight into surgery for a severed extensor tendon. Rio went through surgery great and was put into a cast for 10 days and stall rested at the clinic. I brought Rio home 2 weeks later. The first time I had to change the bandage was when I knew I had a big problem. When Rio’s cast was put on, it was too tight and she suffered from a pressure wound that blew out from below the hock all the way to her pastern. I drove my mare to her normal Vet, Dr. Tere Crocker, and she went straight to work. Tere started Rio on Chinese Herbs, stall rest, antibiotics, ice therapy, and a compression wrap that was to be changed daily. The next step was to call Dr. John of L.A. Hearne Company. Dr. John was so helpful he worked with me every step of the way, and was truly concerned for Rio’s health.

Dr John started Rio on Ultra 20/20. Once Rio’s nutrition was set she started healing rapidly. When I went to Dr. Tere originally she gave her a 10% chance of every running barrels again. I am so happy and blessed to tell you that Rio is 100% sound today. I started running her the end of February 2008, and she is at about ½ speed right now. At her current pace Rio has been about ½ second off of the top horses and gaining speed with every run she makes. Every time we leave the arena I check Rio’s hind leg and every time she is 100% sound. With the help of  King Brand Feeds, Ultra 20/20, Dr. John, and Dr. Tere Crocker, Rio is back in action. I am so blessed to have such great professionals in my life. Without 20/20, Rio would not be where she is today.

Thank You, Janel Flook

Just wanted to give you a quick update on the herd. Our farrier was out last week and asked me what I was feeding the horses. He has been doing our horses now for about 3 years - he said he has never seen them look so good. Pretty cool, huh? Our protocol is quality oat hay, King Brand rice bran, Senior and Ultra 20/20. That's it. And body work. All of their coats look and feel wonderful. Thanks, Lori

At KING Feeds, we learned long ago that livestock   customers want:

  1. Safe and consistent diets

  2. Value and respect from suppliers

  3. No fines in their feed

  4. A product that does not change with ingredient prices
   (this is called "no least-cost"
formulating or "best cost"  formulating).

This is how we have addressed your concerns:

KING Feeds’ formulas are fixed.  Ingredients are not varied when they become less expensive.  The color, smell and taste are consistent. The only time we change a formula is to benefit your animals.

Neither of our plants contains Bovatec, Rumensin or Paylean.

California’s Sandy Storrie says:

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the King’s Lifelong rabbit feed. Boy has it made a difference! Since going on the Lifelong 3yrs ago, I have not lost 1 rabbit to wool block nor have I had to treat any of them with pysillium as I had to in the past. I have also noticed that I am not getting the mats on my Woolies as I had and I am not grooming them anymore than I did then. Actually, the grooming has decreased. I have raised and shown the Jersey Wooly since 1995. In the time frame, from 1995 to 2004, I have tried 4 different brands. One brand was getting really dusty and buggy, the others I started to get wool block in my guys and was having to treat them with psyillium or take them to work and do surgery on them to remove the ball. It's amazing what a difference feed can make when people put in the time and effort to make it right and want to make sure that it is the best for the animals eating it. The difference this feed has made is beyond wonderful. It has everything we need in there for our show rabbits to keep their coats and condition going and not have to go and buy a bunch of supplements to add to the feed! Not only am I still doing the Woolies, but I now have Thrianta's, Velveteen Lops and a few Lionheads.

. . . and from Lynanne Crippen:

"Just wanted to let you know that the Beginner is wonderful, My rabbits love the feed and I'm on top of my game, the last 3 fairs I've done VERY WELL...My rabbits are staying in condition and looking great at the shows."

Here's some of my current winnings:
San Bernardino County Fair ( May 2007)
BEST Oppposite of Breed (With my own breeding stock)
San Diego County Fair (June 2007)
BEST Opposite of Breed
Orange County Fair (July 2007)
BEST of Breed (With my own breeding stock)
BEST Opposite of Breed
All with my Mini Rex...Thanks again for all you have done with the feed.

And from long-time user Michele Pitts, of San Diego:
King feed has given my rabbits back the flesh condition that I had lost while using two nationally known brands. That is how I actually heard about KING feed. I had made a post to the California rabbit web about having problems with a feed from the Midwest. Larry Uelk emailed me directly telling me about the KING feed. It sounded great but there was no way for me to get it. We continued to keep in touch and I told Larry I was going to Santa Barbara he told me I could get it at a dealer there, so I did.

The first time I tried the food was 12/18/04. The first thing that was different was the bag. One of my fellow mini rex breeders was standing at my truck she said the food smelled very fresh. Well it continued to get better from there . . . it even looked good, my rabbits ate it like crazy. I still had some that were having trouble gaining weight so Larry talked to Dr. John and he said I was not feeding enough. That made all the difference in the world. My friend came over and she said “Wow! Your rabbits look and feel great they got their flesh back.” It has been a long hard road but we made it. I had not had babies in over 6 months, I recently had 72 out of 14 litters. I am in the top 50 in mini rex and the top 10 in black and blue!!!!

Thanks to all for these wonderful comments!

  Black Gold Pet Food

"Posse"

"Tommy"

I recently sent . . . a picture of one of my pups raised on Black Gold. “Posse” is 8 months old in the picture. He is ¼ saluki and ¾ “cold blood” greyhound. We feed a variety of different kinds of working dogs here. We have cattle dogs (border collies) and hunting dogs, (hounds and greyhounds). There is no doubt that all of them have shown marked improvement in stamina, performance and drive since being fed Black Gold. In our mostly steep, hot, dry country, the improvement seen in the dogs since feeding Black Gold helps us in all we do. Also Black Gold has helped all of our older dogs stay active longer than we thought they would.  It really makes a difference. Thanks,

            Natasha Hunt

I wanted to change dog foods, but I didn’t know what to go with. After doing some reading online and speaking with Larry Uelk, I changed to Black Gold and I couldn’t be happier. All three of my dogs are doing great and they seem to enjoy eating it!
